Forbush Corner Nordic Youth Ski Program

This season, we’re introducing the Forbush Corner Youth Ski Program for kids aged 7 to 13! Running for six weeks, the program will take place every Sunday afternoon from 1:30 to 3:00 PM, starting on December 29, 2024. Led by certified PSIA instructors and supported by dedicated volunteers, this program promises a fun and engaging experience for young skiers.

Through games, drills, and group exploration on the trails of Forbush, your child will develop essential skills in a fun and supportive environment. The program costs $90 for the entire 6 weeks, with ski equipment rental extra, if needed. However, Forbush Corner Nordic understands financial limitations and offers assistance to those in need. Up to 100% of the program cost can be covered!

The following options will be available with the cost of the program and equipment:

Youth Ski Program only - $90 (they have their own skis)
Youth Ski Program with (rentals program time only) - $150
Youth Ski Program with Rent to Own Program - $280 (classic skis) Rent to owns skis are taken home and can be used on other trails and family outings)

Forbush Corner Rent to Own Kids Program

At Forbush Corner, we understand the challenge of outfitting growing kids with properly fitting skis and boots. That’s why we offer our Rent-to-Own Kids Program, designed to make cross-country skiing more affordable. This five-year program ensures young skiers have equipment that grows with them, and by the end of the program—or once their growth spurt slows—they’ll leave with a high-quality set of XC skis, boots, and poles to call their own.

How the Program Works:

Each year, the skier will be provided with a properly fitted set of high-quality rental skis, boots, and poles. The cost of the rental decreases each year they remain in the program, which spans five consecutive years. At the end of the program, they’ll receive a brand-new set of skis, boots, and poles to keep.

If they participate for fewer than five years, 66% of the total rental fees paid will be credited toward the purchase of a new ski package.

Please note: Customers are responsible for any excessive wear or damage to the rental equipment.

Costs:

Year 1: Skate setup $150, Classic $130	----------------------------------------------------------------------------

At the end of the program, when the skier has stopped growing they will receive either the Classic ski package or Skate ski package listed below:

A pair of endurance skate skis with either a manual or auto binding, a race speed skate or combi boot, and Nordic ski poles with a biathlon grip.
A pair of Nordic skin skis with either an auto binding, an active C touring boot, and Nordic ski poles with a biathlon grip.
Upgrades will be added with a 20% off discount of the difference.
